Tags: Higher Education, Resources, ICYMI, Diversity, Grad School, Ph.D.

There is never a shortage of stories and content related to diversity in higher education (which is a great thing!). Therefore, it can be daunting to keep track of article highlights from week-to-week.

Let us help you out! Below are three articles that address Ph.D., grad school and diversity in higher education issues.

1. It's All About Community - Interview with Ansley Abraham

Dr. Chris Golde, founder of Grad Logic, talks with Dr. Ansley Abraham, founder and director of the SREB-Doctoral Scholars Program. Dr. Abraham lists three pieces of advice graduate students (and even faculty) can use to create networks of support and community in higher education. Read more information on Dr. Abraham's SREB-DSP program, and the support it provides to grad students.

2. Feeling Like Impostors

Inside Higher Education highlights a study from the University of Texas at Austin that reveals the various ways impostor syndrome can impact the mental health of minority students.

3. #Educolor: The Struggle & Power of Women of Color Educators

Transcript from a March #EduColor chat that covers recruitment and retention barriers, stereotypes and hindrances, and systemic barriers faced by educators who are women of color.

It is our hope to post weekly collections of articles for those who are interested in diversity in higher education issues. If you see any stories or articles you would like for us to post, email: chanell.turner@sreb.org
